Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born
August 26 2002. He is also known as Lil Tecca. He gained mainstream recognition
after the release of his 2019 hit single "Ransom", which was a top 4
hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was included on his debut mixtape Love
You Tecca (2019) which reached number 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape
also included the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and
"Did It Again". The debut album of his studio titled Virgo (2020) it
debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. It also featured the Billboard Hot
100-charting singles "Dolly" and "When You Down". The
mixtape that he followed up with We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August
2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and
many more. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was the child of Jamaican immigrants. He
was born on August 26 2002, in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was born in
Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later relocated to Cedarhurst on Long Island.
From a young age, Sharpe had aspirations of being in the NBA, but around the
age of 12 Sharpe shifted his focus to pursuing a career in music. Sharpe
attended Lawrence High School. When Tecca was just nine years old, he responded
to his passion for music by rapping along with his friends over his mic on his
Xbox. One of their tracks about diss was posted to SoundCloud some time ago
however it has since been deleted. At first, he did not have any plans to
pursue a career in music, but he dreamed of becoming a NBA superstar. But,
during his middle school years his interest in basketball faded and was
contemplating taking music more seriously. The first single he released,
"Tectri", which has gained some attention in beginning of 2017, was
recorded in collaboration and released by Lil Gummybear. His other tracks comprise
"Callin" and "Tectri". His smash hit single
"Ransom," which was first posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade
YouTube channel on May 22nd, 2019, marked the beginning of Tecca's meteoric
rise. The song climbed to number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The song has
received over 90 million Spotify plays and has more than 300 million YouTube
views.
