Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. She made her film debut as a Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donavan was in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1998) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody began to model that eventually led to a career in commercial modelling. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamour or nude work. This rule extended into Doody's acting work. In 1985, following getting noticed by the casting directors of the James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of 12 Promising New Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she portrayed Doody in the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke. Doody is the tiniest Bond girl who has a name to her. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA member Siobhan Doovan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. Her first lead role was in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a forensic archaeologist in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. After moving to Hollywood, Doody became a star. The actress later became Flannery her agent as well as her girlfriend for Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the remake she made in 2011. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. The actress also was given an award at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
