Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress best famous for her performances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut, she's shown her versatility by performing in series like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Her first recognition came from her performance as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. The film was primarily for her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the biography film All the Way, which gave her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series is scheduled to be renewed for a second season. The show was renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by the mid-year of 2019.
